Exam dah habes! yay!

~ Indonesian Nite 09 was awesome ~

Last nite I got the chance to go to the Indonesian Nite 09 here in town. It was held at the Elim auditorium and was amazing. Although I questioned myself every second whether I'm the only Malaysian among those people.

I also tried some of those Indonesian kueh. Nice! Oh, Forgot to mention that it was also held to gain some funds for the unfortunates back in Indonesia. Few celebrities came for the show. It was hosted by Arie Dagink and Happy Salma. And I have to say, Happy Salma is so hot! hahaha~ giler cun weh. And then performances by Reza Artamevia (I love her voice, used to listen to her mp3s before), Rio Febrian, and Ali the groove. Plus couple of songs played by the Indonesian students from Welli and Christchurch. And ade la jugak cultural performances.

As quoted from Rio, "Banyak cewek-cewek jomblong di sini ya". hahaha~

It's what I am

There has been quite a few events happening around here, in the past few days we went to the Sakura fest which somehow not as beautiful as last year; and most importantly, Hari Raya on last Monday.

I've been thinking a lot lately, basically about nothing. Love the feeling when you could empty your mind just by sitting down and felt like your soul is somewhat out of the body. Anyway, I think I need another break just to somewhere 'green' this time. Probably a hill with beautiful view and just lying on the grass while looking at the sky. =)

It's Spring! The clubs are open and the weather at night seems just about fine. There's nothing wrong if you love to dance. (^.^) Trance? Techno? Anything will do. I don't know why but somehow I don't have the 'soul' to do traditional anymore, maybe once in a while. Coz my body keep saying, "Back to modern while you still can"

Just had a Raya chat with the whole family, people have different thoughts about my new hairstyle and the beard. lol. Seems that my cousin and my aunt interested to come here, but then again, they told me that years ago but then off to somewhere else. Kahkahkah~

It was last Saturday, apparently we still have the car that we rent for the school experience till Monday. haha. So I decided to take a the drive to the Wairarapa region all by myself. Taking a bit time off from Welli maybe. Anyway, the trip starts with the crazy winding road that goes along the Rimutaka Hill. It was like driving in South Island.

After about 20 minutes on the road, I arrived to a small town called Featherston. Nothing much in this town coz the clock shows it's only 8am! Plus the only landmark that I could see was this sort of memorial figure right in the middle of the town.

Then, I continued down the road and arrived at Carterton. There was supposed to be a Stonehenge here (Similar to the one in England) but it opens at 10am....... So I just took some pics in the town area and goes right back on the road. See my facebook for more pics

Then I'm off to Masterton! Masterton was quite a big 'pekan'. Plus, there's the Queen Elizabeth park that was quite big with miniature railways, lakes, bird watching, flower gardens, and etc. Stopped there for some more pics and refuelling the car. See my facebook for more pics

The next town that I reached was Tinui. There was only this building, supposed to be an old prison but now renovated to a craft shop and toilets. You actually have to ask for a very huge old bronze key from the shopkeeper to go into the toilet. Interesting. Town ni pnuh dengan kambing biri-biri. Teramat banyak. Sesuai untuk sape nak amik gambar.

The next few minutes drive to Castlepoint was beautiful. Along the road, you'll see huge green hills with small rocks and boulders on them (juz like those in LOTR). However, it was not as beautiful as Castlepoint. Upon entering Castlepoint, I saw few signs saying that Tsunami is very likely to happen in that area and apparently on that day, the wind was extremely rough. Much stronger than the wind u get in Welli. I think it was like 40+ km/h.

I saw some guys cleaning their boats by the beach and asked them whether it would be safe to go up to the lighthouse in this condition. And he said. "I wouldn't want to be there on this day mate, but you can try" with a broad smile. I told him that I would give a try and he wished me good luck. lol. (But seriously, people actually died here)

I only managed to walk half the way. The wind was too rough that I couldn't even breathe plus I had to 'peluk' the handrail for every steps further. Apparently there' an open sea on the left and right of the path. The wind could easily threw me off the path and 'byebye world' =).

I gave up and went back down taking some pics of people fishing, seagulls, n seals.

It was still early, so I went up to Woodville, stopped at the gas station, had some talked with the guy there, asking him for directions with best view. And I decided to go through the Gorge heading to Palmy. hehe. At first, ingat nak bukak puasa je kat Palmy, but then, I don't really like the feel of the city since it was so busy so I decided to head down to the beach and take some pics of the sunset.

Pastu, truskan my drive back home. Balik umah je masak makan. Senang. hahaha

~ Teaching at Rongotai ~

For this year teaching experience programme, I have been assigned to Rongotai Boys College with three other friends. (pause.....breathe....) IT'S A BOYS COLLEGE!!! WHY?????

Oh anyway, we're just there for five days and at least there were two hot female teacher (one of them is lesbian as I heard from the students).

1st day: We actually went in for only two periods when suddenly I felt so bored and had the urged to skip school. lol. We went to the beach taking pictures before going back home to sleep.

2nd day: I went to the hot Science teacher classroom and observe her class. While she's teaching, I was looking at some students 'oogling' on her. :berpeluh:

3rd day: Yeah we skipped school. Again. haha

4th day: We only skipped the last period. I taught the Somali student who apparently could only write his name in English recently. (I know no Somali words..)

5th day: Stayed for the whole school hours, and apparently we sort of not wanting to meet our supervised teacher who I must say is a TOTAL NERD who again I might believe that he may not have a life.... my apologies.

Actually, it was a good experience. I didn't have any problems working with the kids.
Just that on one of the day, something happened that somehow opened my eyes.
Here goes.
There was this Year 9 class, known as the most notorious class. They had problems on paying attention, and respect. So, before we went into the class, we met a teacher who's explaining to us about them. And after the class, while we were having a conversation about the kids, she jokes "They were animals".
I was startled for a while and holding myself from slapping or just giving her a good'ol punch in the face. I agree that the kids was lack lotsa disciplines, but still for a teacher to blindly blurt out that sentence to us. That's just not right. I wouldn't mind if she said that 'they act like animals' or something similar to that. I believe that teachers should not say that kind of thing about their students and that goes as well for students. They should also not do the same thing. haih....

p/s: I'm still confused up till now which one was the lesbian teacher.. =P

~ Midsem holiday ~

Ok, it's now the midsem break!!! (for two weeks)
However, KPM Tesl group gonna be heading to school around wellington to teach. TEACH!
Although it just gonna be for a week, still... can't really imagine myself teaching in a classroom. Was hoping the teacher that I'm working with tomorrow will be hot~ juz like last year~ :gembira:

Anyway, will be damn busy I guess for this week. School, work, etc. And Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan to every Muslims in the world.

Okay, this post will be in both English and Malay as usual and believe me, it will be loooong.
However, before I start, I would like to apologise to those who may find this content offensive and not true etc. I'm just stating my opinion based on what I see and heard from my friends and people who had seek me for advice.
For those who are with the system, I'm not condemning you, it's just that I may have a different opinion than yours. And, everyone is entitle to their own opinion.

We'll be looking at the pyramid system/scheme/group or whatever it is called. And for this arguements, I will be using Uptrend which till now, we only heard the good stuff.

Ok, we must first understand that it is a pyramid system, even though others may assume it differently. System ni bergerak apabila seorang iaitu individu a perlu mencari 2 orang bawahan dan 2 orang bawahan pulak perlu carik lagi 2 org setiap seorang and the system will repeat itself.

Dan setelah saya membaca artikel dan penerangan Uptrend, saya dapati, seorang ahli baru perlu membayar sebanyak rm38 sebagai yuran pendaftaran dan perlu membeli sekurang-kurangnya 1 produk Uptrend yg sememangnya melepasi harga normal pasaran. Basically, you may ended up paying rm300 just to start.
And from that, your downlings will have to do the same, spend rm300 as well.

Stop n think lagi. Pastu, ditulis main company cuma amik 20%, 80% bagi kpada members. padahal 20% mereka sebenarnya bernilai lebih dan terlalu bnyak melalui bayaran upgrade membership.

Come on now, jutawan mudah? there's no easy way to gain money. Kalau dah jadi jutawan knapa kna carik org lain? Sebab nak tolong sesama sendiri? YE KE???? Sebulan bleyh dapat 15k? kena carik brape ribu org utk 15k tuh? Kalau ramai dah kaya, knapa bising pasal naik harga minyak? And then ahli skim piramid ni, knapa nak riak dgn tukar kreta ape semua?

Banyak lagi yg saya ragui. Tapi dah cukup panjang post ni. haha.
Akhir kata, saya bukan nak menutup periuk nasi org lain, tapi ingin mengajak berfikir bersama, pastu kalau korang nak buat apa pon, ikut la. Memang x dinafikan ada yg berjaya jadi jutawan dengan kerja keras dalam MLM ni. I'm not encouraging or discouraging anyone tapi just want to share the basic idea of MLM. Still pokai, tapi pegi keje malas. hohoho..
Somehow, I'm still not satisfied with just two days of snowboarding in queenstown last holiday. Wish I could go for another run on the sem break in August, guess I have to postpone sending my scooter for a service. =)

New sem dah mule, but my mind still on lazy mode. Plus I have a full 4 days weekend, on wednesday juz one hour class, but on thursday & friday full day. So basically, I love this sem.

What a great weekend I had.

Slept till 11pm then game again till 5am Sunday
Slept n woke up at 2pm n game till now which is 5am Monday.
And would go to sleep before waking up at 12pm.

So, it's Monday. Just like any other days except that I somehow intentionally 'ponteng' 2 lectures today. Wow! Plus I'll 'ponteng' one more lecture tomorrow and that will make it.....(doing the math...) 3 lectures for the week! Yea!

Currently waiting for few Model kits to arrive. Spent quite a fortune on them. I don't know whether I'll have the time to assemble them. Anyway, got 4 assignments and 1 oral exam to go before Winter holidays. So, ganbate!

Juz to sum up what i have done in the couple of months since summer. I have been to pretty much every place that i want to in South island during the summer. But yet, I haven't done bungy nor skydiving.
Anyway, during the easter holiday, I went on a roadtrip covering the whole north island. And again, those are the places which I want and need to go. What's left would be, Aussie!!!
By the way, it's so weird here in Wellington. The first week was dry n cold and now it's raining but warm non-stop. I called it the "Weird-Welli-Effect". =)

I still haven't done ALIN task 2, and there's another two EDUC assignments which I honestly hate (Why learn things that are not certain, theories with no application that provide evidence just doesn't seem right for me)

Maka ceritera bermula~

Satu pagi yang indah berwaktu 4am handset daku berbunyikan lagu intro futurama. A friend of mine wanna hang out around town. Bcoz I'm a good friend, I said yes. Haha.
And so, kluarlah kami tapi malangnya dah nak pagi, mane ade tmpat yg best dah. Jadi, kitorang juz lepak kat McD sambil ber'brain-freeze'kan frozen coke. We chat for a while:

Mr. A: I'm bored..
Mr. B: Say, why don't we go to Kapiti?
Mr. C: Dude, I'm gonna finish work at 5, I'll tag along.
Mr. A: Yeah, we can watch the sunrise at the beach.
Mr. C: Sweet as!

We grab some food and drinks from McD (manager kat blakang, hoho) and ride our way to Kapiti. Elok2 masuk je highway, we suddenly realized.....Kapiti is on the West Coast! Melainkan tiada lagi hari esok..., the Sun won't come out from the West. Berbekalkan kebodohan dan kebingungan, kami truskan plan and reached the Raumati beach. We're so tired and had a nap for a while. Monkeykaka!!

Exactly 6.30am, we woke up, freshen up and went along the coast up to Paraparaumu and then south up the hill covering views over the coast. Oh, at one town, We saw a statue of holy mary at the church on top of some hill. It's huge but the road to that church was closed. haih..

Pastu, tringat pulak ade jousting tournament kat Upper Hutt. Everybody agreed, and we went there. Boleh la tahan, Now I know what nerds will grew up to be. LoL. And lucky me, my phone died! Tangkap gambar bnyak sgt. huhu...

Apparently, that is their future. hahaha

After we're completely bored out with the place, we went and hav fun at the playground (strictly for kids) and went back to Petone, had an Indian tea (teh susu with ginger...rrrrr...).

Ok, summer has been good to me despite the heat. Parties, fishing and surfing! haha. The water still cold tho... I wonder why is that the water in Lyall Bay is far more freezing than the Oriental Bay. But still surfing fever is back! It's been so long. I could not get on the Mini Mal since I tend to fell off quite a lot. Instead I got myself a long board and been doing pretty good. hurray!
Working, hmm... I go to work only when I feel like to and the pay that I got will be spent on games mostly. Camne nak kumpul duet. Cuba ajaq skit. haha.

Probably bukan musim die kot. Guess I should head to the west coast maybe around Opunake again to catch some good waves. If I'm lucky I might ended up surfing on the Big William. haha.

Just came back from Frank Kitts Park, apparently it's Guy Fawkes' Day today (a hero to many, an idiot to some). So, there's a firework display at the waterfront. The sky of Wellington was covered with bursts of countless explosions in various colours. People seems amazed, however it's not as good as the one we had in Malaysia. We got fireworks display in almost every event; Merdeka, Aidilfitri, Sports, New Year, you name it. haha..

Itulah yang dirasai oleh remaja berusia 14 tahun di Titi Bakong dekat sini yang sanggup berkorban meninggalkan alam persekolahan semata-mata untuk melengkapkan sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri buat lapan adiknya.

Mohd. Norshahrul Amri Anuar, pelajar tingkatan dua Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Yan di sini terpaksa memikul tanggungjawab sebagai ketua keluarga selepas bapanya dipenjarakan baru-baru ini.

“Walaupun saya kecewa dengan apa yang berlaku, sebagai anak sulung, saya berasa bertanggungjawab untuk menguruskan makan dan pakai adik-adik.

“Tak sanggup saya nak harapkan emak seorang diri menguruskan semua itu, tambahan pula adik-adik masih kecil untuk mengerti apa yang berlaku kepada keluarga kami,” katanya kepada Utusan Malaysia di rumahnya di Titi Bakong di sini.

Ekoran kedaifan itu, dia yang mesra dengan panggilan Mat terpaksa meninggalkan sekolah sejak awal bulan ini untuk bekerja sebagai kelindan lori dengan pendapatan harian RM10.

“Dengan pendapatan yang tidak seberapa, sedikit sebanyak ia dapat membantu emak menyediakan pakaian adik-adik tanpa hanya bergantung harap kepada ihsan jiran-jiran,” ujarnya.

Mohd. Norshahrul Amri, adik- adik dan ibunya hanya berteduh di sebuah bangsal membuat nira nipah milik datuk saudaranya.

Have you ever wonder how a simple notion popped out of nowhere could make a huge impact to a person's life. And here I'm thinking how do people interpret and make sense of these ideas?
I mean, there had to be some kind of an explanation about the mechanism rather than just the psychological or neurophysiology theories that governs the reasoning. And I want other than molecular analysis or neuroimaging of the brain functional activities.

For example, computer only understands on and off, basic principle, elaborated to what at presence. So, the input to a human brain (i.e. ideas) had somehow to follow through some stages and/or sectors before it could interpret for the host. Then comes the feeling of self-assured. Can anyone tell me the mechanics of this?

I don't know why, but I suddenly wanna question it. haih...
Anyone interested to try and explain it to me?

And so, kitorang ade SBE kat NZ lak this year. 3 schools, 1st and 2nd bosaaaaaaaannn!!!! But the 3rd school was awesome!
Maidstone intermediate. name of the school. I was placed in class 24, green syndicate. About 30 students in the class. And yeah, cekgu die nama Anna, baru 20-an.... and married. haha.

Mr. Shafiq? hoho!

Yeah, I'm just an observer in the classroom but over time I helped the students with their tasks and I also played with them during P.E.
They have beautiful smiles and very good manners. I really wish I could be teaching them or just a work as a teacher aide. lol.
It was very sad to see their expressions when I told them that I won't be back on the next Monday. They even tried to stop me from leaving the classroom. huhu.

"Why can't you stay for the whole year?"
"You brighten up the class when you're here" (Although dalam hati aku tawu aku gelap)

It's 2am in the morning. I noe it's late but somehow I couldn't sleep. Ttiba tringin nak gi Starbuck and a get a special brew (as Tim said). He introduced me to this drink back in Malaysia. It's pretty simple, and nothing special to it but I kinda got addicted and stop drinking mocha latte. haha.
Anyway, here's what I usually tell the barista:

- Venti cup
- About 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- Half cup of milk
- Triple shot of espresso
- Ice on top
- Mocha drizzle

Simple ayte? But it sure does a great job drying up your throat.

Akhirnya my adapter sampai jgak dari auckland. And I can use my laptop at last!!!
Ceritanya: my laptop pnyer adapter rosak, so antar kat kdai yer kat auckland. sminggu gak, and xder org yg pkai same model as mine. (Moral of the story: Janganla pakai barang brand pelik2. lol)

And so, I just came back from the snow trip wif my frens. a four days trip! Although we didn't get to ski or snowboarding, still at least we were able to build snowman and had a snowball fight. (I single-handedly 'headshot' 3 person! I'm really sorry, my bad).

Dah bwat macam2 aktiviti n best jgak la. Maybe lau ade duet lebey nak ikut bebudak rec centre nyer trip lak. haha. KALAU ADE

Rindu sangat kat air.....(bkan x mandi ek). Lama dah x surf, Coz the weather pretty cold n angin kuat sangat. Pastu xleh main snowboard lak. aiyak. nak bwat camna.

The growing pile of clothes waiting to be 'laundrizitatorize' (bahasa ape ntah). It was a fun and enjoyable trip. Made me think about everything.

Yay! and so I woke up this morning, look out the window, the sky looks clear, browse the webcam..... f*cking awesome sunny day!!!! =)

Yup, I went to surf at Lyall bay again today after about a month. I'm so terribly need to get the frequency up right again. I'm surfing like a total beginner. haha

The forecast said that there were suppose to be like 2-3 feet waves, but while I was paddling, a 5 feet wave came out of nowhere and slammed me and some more rather unfortunate people. We got back on the board and everyone had the same smile. (Surfers' communication style, I think)
But the waves today were quite unpredictable and strong. I was only about 100 metres from the beach when in few seconds I realize that I'm like way~ way~ 300 metres from the beach and nobody's around. haha. I had to paddle back harder to the beach since it keeps pulling me in and there's no waves that I could ride.

Anyway, I had a great time today. And it's the STUDY WEEK! no class!

I will dedicate this part to why I find surfing's addictive.

1. It's a cool thing to do.
2. When you're riding the waves, you can see a 5second rainbow from the splashing water.
3. I like everything about the sea.
4. There's an inner-excite feeling when you're about to take off.
5. It's juz damn addictive!

At last, I'm done with the tests. Went for a drink with Caleb and other guys n we chat bout skiing places around NZ. Gonna try snowboarding next! Anyway, the thing is i'm really glad that only ALIN final exam will be on my shoulder next. =)

Sad... I didn't get to surf today since the waves were only 1/2 feet. But still I had a great day. Went to Fryberg pool and finally after 3 months, I swam again. haha.
But, since it has been that long, I could only swim for just 4 laps and I'm almost out of breath. huhu.. Still, a guy there said that my breaststroke was really good. wahaha! However, I'm suck at freestyle.

It was a fun Saturday. Met people (^o^), spent a lot, and am much better this weekend.

I love this city, I love it so much that I want to have.. err..( I should take back my words).
Anyway, today is my 8th day without surfing. huhu... It's too cold at the beach and I don't think I can survive for an hour surfing. Still, I have to get used to it since i want to try n surf in winter. Phil and Matt has done it, now it's my turn. (^o^)

it's getting colder, haih..

i went to the beach yesterday and it was f*ckin' embarassing,
i could not surf although the waves were good. the water was warm, only 16° but the rough wind was 8°.
Plus the guy said, it's crazy to surf even for the windriders, guess i'm just too crazy and went for the waves alone. well, if i stayed in the water for another half an hour.....hmmm.... probably i won't be writing this blog.
Thank God.

Conditions:
*water 16°
*air 8°
*wind was really rough (i cud only walk by holding on to the sign post and the rails)
*sand storm (all over the place)

Effects:
*could not even stand on the surf board
*numb hand and feet
*dizzy
*can't speak properly until i got the hot mocha

Morals of the story:
*there's always a reason why nobody in the water
and...
*don't kill yourself!

My life up till now:

- Juz finished unbricking other's PSP. (I should charge every one of those, haha)

- 2 assignments are done. Still got so many left to work on. (Borrowed some books but couldn't find the time to read them)

- Haven't been to the beach for 3 weeks (need surfing so badly, i think i got the "surfer's fever")
- Today is the 1st day of our mid trimester break (Got 2 weeks=travelling, surfing, n assignment)

- Thinking of going to the east coast to catch some waves (need a car n a board, also money...huhu)

- Sorry Phil coz I couldn't go to your party (got movie nite with Malaysian students, mana boleh ditch them. haha)

- And yes, going to Auckland after this (flight around 1pm) Airfares are seriously cheap over here.

Well, I just came back from the Westpac Stadium. There was a rugby match between the Hurricane and the Crusaders. Apparently our Uni is very kind to support us and paid most of the tickets price since we only have to pay 10nzd. (Usual price maybe 50+).
Anyway, as usual, the Hurricanes lost. But then again, it was a good experience since it was my first time in the stadium. So nice, so cool, so great, so so so. haha.

After that we went to our usual hangout. Coffee & Tea at Cuba street. Got myself a 'midnight espresso milkshake'. I think I took too many caffeine coz i kinda like dizzy at the moment.
And.. dah lewat, 2am now. Better go to sleep.

Wooh... I just came back from the surf trip. It was crazy, 3 days 2 nights right at the beach. And it's really cold. haha. Thank God that my tent still standing till the end.
And yeah, I get to surf for 3 days non-stop. Nuthing to worry about. Well... except for the waves twice my height and the sharks. But everything else was hella good.
Anyway, I'm still a beginner and Phil said that the waves in Opunake is not suitable for learning but I managed to do just fine. muahahaha! so proud of myself.
The best part is the fish & chips. Amatlah sedap. And just for 4nzd!! That's awesome.
It was a total of 5 hours driving. We passed through many small towns. whanganui, palmerston north, hawera, foxton, paraparaumu, paramata, taranaki and etc. And we get a clear view of Mount Taranaki. So nice~
It was a great trip with amazing group. Just 6 of us and it was worth it.
Next stop Lyall Bay~! Need to improve myself.

Easter break!! hurray!!!
I'll be goin to Opunake or whatever it is called.
We'll be camping and surf for 3 days. haha. I'm gonna be so tanned.

I just came back from class and am reading the newspaper.
Amazingly, Niwa scientists had found a massive undersea landslide in Cook Strait near the Wellington airport. And according to them, if an undersea landslide happened again, it would cause a devastating tsunami near the Wellington airport. Plus, the airport is not far from my place and am near the sea.
Well, things happen for a reason. If the tsunami really does triggered, nothing can be done. haha..
That's why we have God. He cares for us. And judge us fair and square. There are reason for everything that is happening around us.

Easter break is just in 2 days and I still don't have any plans yet. haha.
